emails NOT arriving (not a delay)

hi there

i’m not submitting a ticket, cos i know it will take ages to get to you (if at all), so -

I have erecived reports that folks have sent me emails during the day, and i have NOT received them at all.

I know there is a delay, BUT, i have received emails sent to me AFTER these emails were supposed to have been sent, but these earlier ones have NOT been received. I am certain of a few cases like these - on 2 domains, both on mail1.

This is extremely disturbing. Whats more, the senders are not getting bounces, so as far as they know - the emails has been recieved, and i am even more worried that i dont even know who has sent to me, and that i dont even know about it!

any comments?
Thanks

We have not been removing/deleting emails from the queue so that just really doesn’t make sense.

All emails hitting our email server are being delivered. If you submit a ticket with the details of the email that was sent, we can trace it on our server

this issue was solved yesterday. Email in a ticket and it will come in instantly. I just reconfirmed the same

I just sent in the sender, recipient and subject lines for one email, for others all i know is the sender and receiver (me)

Same issue Ticket #IKW-13538-529

We’ll look into it and let you know shortly.
If you do receive the email in the meanwhile, please let us know.

manopb, I asked you if that email got caught in a spam filter? Because the way that email is framed, I suspect it had a high probability of being intercepted as spam

Not on my end-user side of things. It may be getting caught in the new server-side filters on mail1.

But I received no bounce message either.

We’ll try to trace these emails and let you know.
Is this happening for every email you’ve sent or these few test cases?

I just fired off a number of the same email in the last few minutes.

My original email arrived. It took about 10 hours.

I am still waiting for a reply from support, so so much for that…

the one emails that i knew its subject line, has indeed arrived, but the others have not. i am scared - very very scared!

i am getting some mail, but i definitely know of mails that have gone MIA. i cant tell you what the pattern is, thats your job

I for one…blame snooper! :stuck_out_tongue: (kidding of course)

This is a darn long 20 minutes… Wonder what the deal is. My client has basically given up on my ability to provide them with mail service. Pointing them to another provider. sarcasm Wheee!

There is absolutely no technical reason why an email should not arrive. We’ve been working with mail1 extensively, the serve ris bogged down but it is definately not black holing any email.

I’ll check up on your tickets again.

I had serveral test yesterday and today sending from mail1 domain to his mailboxes, and to anothers domains. A lot of these messages never arrived.

Wich is the teorical delay I’m suffer right now? I want to check it

external emails are being delivered faster. Internal emails between same domains are taking much longer, this is noted and we are working on it

I have checked it right now:

I have sent a mail from mail1 domain to gmail and to another mail3 domain.

gmail received in less than 1 minute
mail3 domain still has not received anything

And , what’s about receive in mail domain. I coudn’t try one case in wich mailboxes in mail1 receiving anything.
I sent a mail from gmail and another from mail3 domain, and I received anything

I can help you doing any test

did all emails come through now?

yes, except an error :

Plese, Yash:
could you check this?

Al is very fine now, but I have detected an error:

sending from mail1 domain (using webmail) to anothers mailbox in mail3 I get this error:

204.14.107.174 does not like recipient.
Remote host said: 554 sorry, your envelope sender is in my badmailfrom list (#5.7.1)

Sending out of jodohost is perfect.

I am yet to receive any kind of response to this ticket (beyond the auto reply), and i can confirm that none of those emails have come through yet, except for the one i mentioned before.

Yash, pls check this out ASAP!

Thanks
