hiya, i haven’t checked the email features of my site fior a month or so. and they aren’t working.

and am aware of SMTP username password.

but can i check these set ups.

i have a CDONTS for on 2 websites, that used to work, and it says its send the emails.

but i never recieve the emails that are ment to be sent.

does CDONTS require authorising.

also i have the Haemophiliachat forum running on localhost, as the mail server (its Web wiz forums). i have read that localhost doesn’t require authorising, but i have tried sending emails from the forums and it doesn’t seem to arrive.

it used to work, and i thinkk it should still

Many email providers now recognise emails from cdonts as spam due to missing headers etc.I saw that CDOSYS and ASPemail work everywhere (here in jodohost with localhost as smtp)

On that note, CDONTS is officially discontinued. (by Microsoft that is.)

Also if you are on win7, and mail is not being timely delievered, I am working on it now. It was slammed by someone trying to send over 100k spam emails, which were caught and being dealt with now.
