Reseller Control Panel calls a “Security Alert” thru IE Browser.

Certifcate Issued to: .m***here.biz

Can I fix the shared ssl thru .m***here.biz by installing private ssl?

I do not wish for a security alert to pop up when my clients access their control panels.

Hello,

You can purchase a SSL cert from many places for as low as $29 that will take the warning away, you need toset it up as CP SSL and protect the cp.yourdomain.com site with the Certificate.

has anyone evry tried these companies? They offer preatty cheap SSL certs Domains Priced Right and http://www.ssl247.com .

For resellers what should be secured using an SSL (except the CP to avoid that popup)?

The ssl on cp does not seem to be working!?

Issue: my*****.biz is still showing up as certificate holder.

The following steps were performed to correct the problem.

  1. Added new sub domain to main domain.
    Ex: Added sub domain cp.mydomain.com to mydomain.com
  2. Assigned dedicated ip: to cp.mydomain.com
  3. Purchased New SSL for: cp.mydomain.com
  4. Set SSL up thru H-Sphere

24 hours later and I am still getting the security alerts as stated above.

not sure but i dont think you have to create a subdomain i thought you just login to the admin account and go to CP SSL. and then add the Key etc..
and select it.. then use https:servicedomain.com

Hi,

i had some trouble with the CP and SSL for the CP when i first started, but i later realized that you really dont need to use the control panel in SSL mode unless you’re really paranoid. In either case, i had to have my certificate installed by opening a trouble ticket including my cert information.

I recommend GoDaddy 's SSL certs, if you’re sure you want to use the CP with SSL, otherwise, you can change the settings so that the control panel doesnt try to use SSL when you load it.
