dsh, i went through your live chat sessions..
only 1 out of your 4 recent chat sessions seems to have you frustrated. You asked Neeraj how much processes/RAM should you give out in a VPS account.. That really depends on soo many factors.. depending on what sort of applications you wanted to run..
He conveyed that to you, but you wanted some accurate answer which he couldn’t give (remember, not all techs are experts at everything) and asked you to open a ticket.

Jodohost seems to be falling behind in what they have to offer for their prices…
Other hosts are offering such higher bandwidth and storage for the same prices… I won’t name them though, that’d be mean.

Those “other hosts” might simply be overselling their services.
One way to find out is to try and use up the allocated resources they claim to give you and see how fast they shut you down, or tell you to back off. You might even get a very unexpected bill from your reseller host as well.
Personally, I think the practice of overselling is wrong. I let my customers know, and anyone who visits my web site know, that I don’t make a practice of overselling. I wear it as a badge of honor.
On another note, I’m completely satisfied with the superior hardware, data center, bandwidth, and both sales and technical support at JodoHost. My customers are happy too.
It’s not difficult for me to see that JodoHost has an interest in satisfying it’s customers; hands down, the best H-Sphere reseller I’ve been with in the five years I’ve been a reseller.
i personally think LiveHelp is ok, yeah could be improved alot, but it works fine for me when i use it
yeah they dont speak perfect english, but i thought i was dealing with an indian based company - so its expected
i have a habbit of speaking in slang type english, so am guessing that wouldnt help with the support agents (am sure yash said something about using slang)
i think tickets are ALOT better, back when jodo used the built-in Hsphere ticket system, i used to get random replys that had no relevence to my problem, its like they skim-read, picked out a word and replyed based on that (either that or it was an automated reply)
but since they went to the new ticket system replys i think have gotten better
one thing that does bother me though, in the begining of using jodo i was amazed at the ‘Honesty’ they had, the fact that Win5 had crashed and all data lost (including backups) didnt seem AS bad as they was open and honest about it, which made me reasured i was getting ALL the info, and id be amazed if there was a host with perfect uptime, and 0% problems,
but the thing that bothers me though, is when you go to your site, and its down, you think “ah must be the server resetting”, so leave it for 10-20 mins, and its still down, you get a bit annoyed, but wait an extra 10-20 mins, and its still down, and since its been down quite awhile, and is clearly not mearly the server being reset, and theres more too it,
you open a ticket, only to have a reply an hour later saying “your site appears to be fine, if you have any other problems dont heisitate to contact us again”
so you check the site and it works (or in some cases starts working JUST before you receive the reply)
so you just sit there thinking that its an obvious, blatent lie, as you’ve SEEN the site is down so know it wasnt “all fine”
some times i think the techs get the tickets, fix it THEN reply saying “its all fine” and imply your imagining things
i wouldnt mind the site being down, i dont expect 100% uptime, but i did come to expect honesty from jodo, so if it was the server being reset, or what ever problem, just say “sorry the server needed to be reset, its fixed now” and i’d be happy
and ive had FAR to many replys like that to think its just me.
you cant help but think somethings going on when you submit a ticket for a site being down then its “magically” better “coincidently” when the ticket reply just happens to come through :pout:
No, we do NOT do that, I assure you, when we check and it works we reply, if we ahve to reset a service we will say something like “there was a problem in your pool with a hung web app and we restarted the pool” or “apache was hung and we restarted apache, please check the site now”
