Ok. I have a Turbo SSL certificate from Godaddy, all validated with the “www.orpgmaker.com” domain. Converted my domain from a shared IP to a dedicated IP. I followed instructions for Jodohost to create a CSR, PK, and temp cert. I provided godaddy with the CSR and they sent me two files:
I went back into my control panel, clicked on SSL Support → Edit, and placed my certificate info (opened through notepad) into the following box:
Install Certificate based on previously generated Certificate request
And clicked submit … invalid certificate … oh well, try a different way, I went to the boxes #2 and #3, input my private key and the certificate I recieved from godaddy … another invalid certificate error. Okay … thats lovely …
Theres a box #4 for Certificate Authority file, I read somewhere that sf_issuing.crt goes there … no go, invalid as well ..
.. .. ok, is there a step by step somewhere on using godaddy ssl certifs on jodohost? Search on the forums revealed nothing or steps did not work.
Got it, my stupid me, thinking that IIS was used on window accounts, when it was apache It seems to be working now, no errors, just waiting for the ip DNS 24-hour wait to kick in from shared to dedicated
The only reason why I didnt delete my post is so everybody should know as well..
pick APACHE!
Hmm, after viewing the site and double-clicking on the padlock (lower right in browsers), it gives incorrect information .. stating certificate was issued on 12/24/05??? and for .m***here.biz for the company of Apyl …
Something is definately screwy as that isnt my certificate …
