Help a noob on DomainsGoFast API

So when I try and execute an HTTP POST Request to signup a customer looking somewhat similar to the API for the test server:

https://test.httpapi.com/api/customers/signup.xml?auth-userid=1&auth-password=password&[email protected]&passwd=password9&name=name &company=company&address-line-1=address-line-1&city=city&state=state&country=US&zipcode=0000&phone-cc=0&phone=000000&lang-pref=en

(of course replacing with the appropriate variables)

I get a complete timeout, no 403 or anything. Even when I try from the browser I get no response. Something tells me the URL isn’t correct and now that I’ve entered a few A Records and CNAME records for DomainsGoFast, one of my domains is now serving for the API. But I can’t figure out which. Anyone know how to use the API here?

Ehh this is a good question and one I don’t have the answer for either, we will check it and get back to you.

Any news on this one? Is there anyone at your DomainsGoFast counterpart I can talk to?

I will speak to our Sales manager tonight who can aid with this,at least to get a more technical answer, as I had mentioned to you in PM I do not do domain side admin/work or even have access there, as my plate is already more than full.

Not sure; but check the following url HTTP API | KnowledgeBase

This may help you to achieve what you want from the API

Guys, I have done everything I can think of, test.httpapi.com is not responding to anything I’ve thrown at it. It’s like it doesn’t exist at the very least I’d expect a 404 or 403…thoughts?

EDIT: Scratch that, after some tinkering, I finally work my way up to a 500 error…progress once I figure out how to straighten out my request

Ok need some help on this one, I figured out what I was doing wrong earlier and not getting a response, but now all I ever get from test.httpapi.com, no matter what I try is a 500 server error, with no specifics. Am I entering something wrong? Is test.httpapi.com ok? Help please

We will need to submit a support ticket for that, as it is not something we directly control.

So did you get this going?

Sorry Stephen never did figure this one out :-/ ultimately I signed up with OpenSRS. Maybe I’ll give it another stab someday. No hard feelings I hope.

Not at all, domain reselling is not a huge focus with us so not any issue
