HWWIN and SSL

Hi

Since the HWWIN1 issue, none of the sites I have there, that have SSL, are loading properly, and I am finding out one by one as the clients complain.

Cant you guys re-install things w/o us having to ask you tore install? I can’t even remember what sites I have are on hwwin1.

Thanks

Moshe

It is not possible in the case of a crashed windows to restore/move SSL. Taking a backup of SSL is done best by the client at the time of enabling SSL as all the CSR, key, and where you load the cert code are presented in one place that time only. After this it would need an export on Windows to be backed up which is insecure and defeats the purpose of the SSL. however we can take an export and put it in a domain folder for download if you desire to take a backup but we always recommend remove it immediate.

with all the ssl and tls exploits in the last year every issuer I know of does free re-issue and that is very much the route/way to go.

i hear you.. but you are leaving it up to us tp know which sites are on hwwin1 and which sites have ssl.
cant you at least send an email request (to the relevant sites only) to regenerate the ssl? so at least they know it must be done?

We don’t have those options really, we have a list but some already moved off HWWIN1 since it was made. I’ll see what we can do.

Thanks
today i found yet another site that needed to have the SSL reinstalled - not only that, but there were permissions that needed to be reset for Wordpress - as well as curl that needed to be activated/installed.

We have fixed the above WordPress issue. If you still face any issue, please let us know the domain name in a support ticket. We will check it as quickly from our end.
