I am wondering if the following HOT FIXES were ever applied to JH Servers… Internet Explorer 10 is playing havock on not being recognized and causing java postback errors for me. I’ve gotten things working with a work around but was curious if the server side update was ever implimented.

We’ve applied on many servers, which server is this on? Cluster1 has more servers lacking updates than CL2, as we did them as part of the upgrade.

Ended up using custom browser definitions in under App_Browsers to get around it
Don’t think win12 has seen that update yet, the asp.net 4.0 updates don’t always show on windows update, and when they do we skip them as they hang up the server and shut iis down to install from windows update, so we do them manually.
We’ll be doing a segment of them over next weekend and the following for scheduled maintenance and windows side updates to the latest Hsphere, since the PHP version and ASP switching doens’t change anything on the Hsphere for Windows, we aren’t in a huge rush to upgrade to the latest version as all the other benefits already work with the existing codebase installed. I am very actively working to get 2008 R2 nodes deployed however that will allow for ASP.NET 4.5, MVC4, full trust, and no ASP.NET 1.1.
in fact Win38 will launch here shortly, and a SD2008 server as well for those having SemiDedicated and wanting the new things, or new clients wanting SD moves.

I was taken a bit by surprise with the Windows8 launch and IE 10 and this issue… some hair pulling (don’t have much to pull out) but as soon as I figured out it was a JAVA postback error and with the help of Dr. Google, the workaround wasn’t so bad.
Glad I was messing around with Windows 8 on one tablet though so I noticed the error.
Not sure about when I’ll upgrade the other systems though. Visual Studio 2010 apparently is incompatible and I haven’t moved up to 2012 yet. Next toy to play with will be my Surface RT whenever it arrives, then probably my travel development laptop, then the main system. Oh yeah, throw in build of Windows Server 2012 Essentials to replace my aging WHS system… just need $$$ and time now, both scarse 
I wont be getting a surface RT anytime soon, my Transformer with Jelly Bean is working well and shares apps perfectly across my phones. The RT being on ARM is a little less for me, I’m more interested in the PRO edition tablets, especially if they can keep the battery life up on them, with the same profile in general.
We have a couple 2012 servers in now and I love them!
I’ll probably end up getting a Surface w/Pro too depending on how the RT version performs (plus the wife wants one). The appeal of RT at this point is that it does what I need for my bureacratic day job with Office included. I run a HTC HD7 with WP7.5 so the crossover is great. However, having said that, I’ve been considering a Galaxy S3 just because of the apps available (square etc) and internet sharing. (damn you Bell Mobility)
I also have a Nexus 7 that I got as a promo and have been more impressed than I thought I would be by the OS.
I hope to start working on building a Server 2012 home system in the next couple of weeks. Just have to start from scratch hardware wise as the WHS box is really unusable for anything in the upgrade process.
