I woke up this morning to learn that hurricane Irene didnt do any damage and that hurricane Jodohost killed my business.
For some reason my site was not responding: moshoes.com
so i went to live chat and asked to check whats up.
Akash S. soon asked me to check the site and it was back up but behaving very weirdly. I went to check it from the admin side and realized that the data is from 04/10/2008 - basically a 3 year old data.
I communicated that to Akash S. and they told me that they found a backup from yesterday and restored it. I was so happy - yeah, right. After they restored it i checked the admin and realized its exactly the same data from 2008.
So here i am. ALL PRODUCTS, ORDERS, NEW CUSTOMERS are gone!!!
i still dont know how it got fixed or what exactly happened. I’d like for somebody from Jodohost to come back to me with some details. please email or call me - i’d like to make this does not happen again.
If you have Access, you can set up a connection to SQL Server, then import the data - it’s much easier than SQL server management studio and much quicker too.
you were on vzsql due to workaround long ago, we had status posted on that, ans data is not old, nor external blocked weve given you all thay info in past, of course it was down when the server was, but its been up for a long while now
Stephen,
thanks for the calrification - i didnt know that my DB is on VZSQL.
Can you please take a look at the ticket: ZOQ-13984-646 - i’m able to connect to MSSQL4 no problem from the external tools, but i cant to VZSQL - i see the DB but cant open the tables to see the data.
Mssql4 will have old data, so dont use that!
Vzsql you were using, there is nothing blocking on vzsql, i will take a look in the next 45 min, mot at a pc now
Been trying to get my laptop restored so i have my full toolset to work with as well
