I’m not sure about anyone else, but we have seen an increase in signups from Spammers.
We have now set up full moderation on all accounts to comabet this (originally we moderated on trials, and country conflicts etc), but we have had IRO 15 spammers in the last 48 hours.
Another method of blocking this is to use the attached .htaccess (remove the txt extension) and upload to the root of your Hosting site. This is the most common IP ranges from popular spammer countries.
Use it at your own risk as this may block potential REAL business, but it here for the taking.
We have been using this file successfully on our dating sites for some time now, and although some slip through the net by using proxies etc, we have seen a dramatic reduction in scammers signing up. We are now going to apply this to our hosting.
