Has anyone any experience of installing Magento on a server and getting it to work?
I followed the instructions and get an error message of
CGI Error
The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers.
In other words, I’m unable to even reach the install screen.
Any ideas?
As a follow-up, I discovered that the same error was thrown by a very simple php script. I checked around and found this page from Microsoft:

In other words, I might be a bug which has a fix available.
Can jodohost comment on this? Is it possible to fix this?

that fix is bogus, it is typically thrown by some code issue

No.
Instead I moved to Joomla and the free Virtuemart component which works brilliantly well.
One of the best moves I made.
