IP vs Instant Alias

hi there

i have just set up a site (thru my reseller account, but i think thats irellevant) , which has a dedicated IP for shared SSL.

the domain will not be transfered for a while still to the hosting package.
i have seen that i can FTP with the IP address, as well as view the file in a browser with the IP. but not either with the “Instant Access domain alias”

is this how it should be? or have i messed up?

Just reset the instant domain alias by turning it off then on from the control panel

ok, did that, but it seems to have made no change. is that because i have FTP’ed to the IP?

i’m looking at http://d133416.m37.tapnack.net and 64.156.223.237

ddidn’t you get a new domain alias after resetting it?

I don’t know what you mean by IP. Where you FTP to your domain, dedicated IP or shared IP, your files will go to your account

yep, i did.
but i still get the funny “under construction” page, where as on the dedicated IP i get the actual site.

open a ticket.. Your instant alias should be pinging to the dedicated IP. If not, there is a problem

Please use the dedicated IP as Instant alias for domain on dedicated IP never works, because Instant alias points to default ip of the box.
