Anyone else noticing that live mail/hotmail is blocking mail3 again… 
Email/Spam filtering is taking whatever little hair I have left away…
We are aware, and this time it is somewhat legit block, but been corrected.
Someone had a tell a friend script that was running and allowed modification of body portion, some spammers used it to send out some 1000’s of spam before we found it, it only went on for a couple hours, and only a short time from the first reported spam, but such it got blocked. it should expire from most blacklists shortly, it has been resolved for a long while now.

Noticed email stopped around 3pm PST yesterday and is still dead … annoyance more than anything else as I forward a copy of all my email to my live account.
I’ve noticed that live has been getting extemely aggressive with their spam filtering in general the last week or so, sending normally safe email to the spam bin… pain in the arse.
I practically quit using hotmail/live about 3 years ago 
gmail works pretty well over, but does have outages somet imes.
speaking of outages, rackspace is having insane outages weekly with their ‘cloud’ product offering 8o
The main reason that I use live mail is because at the day job IMAP/POP ports area blocked and I like using Windows Live Mail client and can connect easily through HTTP
Honestly never been a fan of any of the webmail apps here at JH so that wasn’t my preference in email.
Shrug, as of this AM still nothing flowing through to live mail… hopefully things will get resolved soon.
I’d use gmail for this myself, much faster than live mail 
But your call of course(and this reply is not related to blocking issue, i know that is a pain waiting for it to be removed!)
I keep meaning to start playing around with a SmarterMail on a VPS as I love the webmail interface but never gotten around to figuring out properly.
I’m not sure why, but I’ve never been a huge fan of gmail… isn’t actually out of beta yet??? Google always gives me this ‘big brother is watching’ feeling - yeah I know, weird from a guy currently using an MS email service.
