Is Jodohost planning to support Magento on servers?
Linux or another UNIX-compatible operating system (Windows is also supported, but see the Known Issues section below)
Apache Web Server (1.x or 2.x)
PHP 5.2.0 or newer, with the following extensions/addons:
o PDO/MySQL
o mcrypt
o simplexml
o DOM
MySQL 4.1.20 or newer
A Sendmail-compatible Mail Transfer Agent (MTA) - Magento will connect directly to an SMTP server if you don’t have an MTA
PHP would be the only thing I’m sure about. Everything else looks fine.
Currently this is the error message I am getting during installation.
[SIZE=3]PHP Extension “pdo_mysql” must be loaded[/SIZE]
My guess is the “PDO/MySQL” is not implemented yet!
Can Jodohost give us their point as well please?

That was Unix Stephen, on the new cluster. Magento just released a new update. I will try that to see if it makes any difference.
Since Magento is open-source and it’s very big in e-commerce world, I think Jodohost should be looking to implement this in the EasyApp section. It would be a big selling point for us and for Jodohost. What do you think?
You don’t want my opinion, I hate EasyApps with a passion.

I don’t mind not having it as one-click-install option but I do want to see the Magento application working on Jodohost servers. Do you think we should expect this soon?
Thats a better quesion, and I don’t do much with unix but will discuss with deepak and tanmaya over the next 24 hours.
Will Magento work on Windows servers?
As per requirement, it won’t work as it require apache but apache is not there on window servers.
I know it says it requires apache but you can always try if you have time

Why would you want it to? I suppose maybe you have a client already on Windows that wants to use it?

at least unix would be good 
right now there is an issue reported about PDO suport in php5 so it is not yet at this time available.
since they have rolled their first production version of magento can we look in to over coming those “PDO suport in php5” issue again please.
if there is no choice of getting magento via Jodo we are going to have to move some of our customer base.
Could we have an update on this as we are currently developing Magento sites and need to establish where we will be hosting these.

Yes please give us a update so I can quit using CRE on your servers IT DONT WORK. I like this cart and want to try it also.
