Mail 4 Delays????

[QUOTE=Atul]
Mail server can only be changed if you first delete the domain and then add in CP. New mailboxes will then be created on new mail server.

Do I have to delete his account as well or JUST delete his domain.

If I delete the domain do we know for certain that he will move to a different mail server other than mail4?

I don’t want to go through this only to have him back on the mail server.

Also… will there be any DNS issues (other than existing caches that have to expire)? Will the dns at jodo immediately be updated as we delete and create a new domain?

He has already asked me this morning and I would like to give a final definitive hour within 2 hours.

Thanks

Gentlement, this is extremely important to me and my client… could someone with Jodo give me final clarification on what I have asked before.

Summarizing:

I also see where the mail4 server will go through some maintenance on saturday (today) http://support.jodohost.com/showthread.php?t=8074 , but I don’t see where it is hardware upgrades. It just mentions anti-spam settings.

Will this also be the hardware upgrade?

What are the changes?

Thank you.

Guys… normally you are very prompt and very responsive… but I need confirmation on my questions asked and answers to the ones that have not been responded to.

Atul, thank you for your response, but I need a final confirmation. See the questions in quotes in my last post.

Thank you.

Sorry for the delay in response. I have been quite busy and havent been much on forums. You can simply disable and enable mailservice for this domain. This should provide domain’s mail service on mail5 and the site wont go down too.

Thank you… I almost deleted the domain. So this will leave him on the same web server?

And if I want to move him to another web server then I’ll put in a ticket.

Tanmaya, can you answer the other questions I had… please read what I put in the seoncd quote box.

Mail4 has been upgraded to Dual Dual-core Opterons, so running 4 cores in total now.
