I need to know the exact day and time mail 6 is being migrated over. I have a client that uses barracuda and I must know so they can change the IP over there… THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT i KNOW THIS, this email if for a very big corporation and I DONT WANT TO NOT HAVE EMAIL ON MONDAY MORNING calling me pissed off???
The migration may go into Monday or Tuesday night migration window, so its better keep your client informed.
into monday or tuesday?? I will need a date when the IP changes not maybe this is not acceptable, this people CANNOT HAVE THERE EMAIL DOWN not a minute, they are a huge corporation and I don’t want to hear from them…
it all depends on file sync. mail servers work on DNs, if they are pointing to an IP that is a pretty big flaw there, it should automatically pickup any DNS change, even with a barracuda device.
Just so you know, we do know what the new IP will be, but the problem right now is that giving it to early will be worse than it being done after, as the mail service will not be ready now and reject all mails.
