Also, tried sending the email with my Anonymizer switched on - same result. No problems sending earlier today (the recipient is another Jodo email account)
So, will use GMail whilst it’s sorted out. First time I’ve ever seen this sort of error message.
PS - the blocked server is mail3 and possibly mail1 since mail relay is turned on. Sending emails from one of my Linux accounts is OK.
Rob, can you put in a ticket with the return message (full). Tht would help.
mail relay wouldn’t mean mail1 is blocked too. Dynablock is a very small scale blacklisted service.. very few ISPs use it. But I’ll ensure mail3 (if blocked) is removed asap
It is not the server blacklisted, but your IP is in the Dynamic IPs blacklist. Please contact your ISP for this. Meanwhile I’m attempting to subscribe for their zone data and once we have it, we can easily exclude your IP at our end.
Hmmm…I suppose it must be my ISP (Pipex UK). If I send emails (or try to receive any), from my Anonymizer or not, they just won’t arrive or send. Luckily Webmail works at Jodo. Anyhow, I’m very busy just now and have little time to spend in front of my PC so I’ll wait a few days and see what happens. Thanks.
PS Put in a ticket, but haven’t checked response yet.
I’ve been using PC Tools Spam Monitor to help get rid of the avalanche of spam. The outgoing mailserver has to be set to 127.0.0.1 Now, if I change my mail settings back to how they were pre SpamMonitor everything is fine again.
I’ll check that out. we have a script that auto changes the outgoing IP if it gets blacklisted by spamcop, giving us time to deal with it. So if you got a bounce, just try resending it and the email should be delivered
That IP seems to belong to mail1. And it seems it got blacklisted by spamcop because a customer’s auto-responder was hit by spam, and that spam got forwarded and our mail server was reported as a source of spam
Please, could you explain Yash’s words: “… We recommend customers use our mail servers to send out email from their web scripts. This has always been the recommended way of doing it, as is far better than using local SMTP…”
that’s Mail1, not mail4 (pixuk reported same IP). Once again, the IP auto changes if it gets blocked so simply resend that email and it will not get rejected.
It seems this IP is getting listed because of forwards as I mentioned above. we are working with spamcop to prevent further instances
This is not jodohost server issue. Your Residential Ip (ISP) has been blacklisted by NJABL So you are getting this error
'451 Dynamic/Residential IP range listed by NJABL dynablock - http://njabl.org/dynablock.html ". Contact your ISP technical team for remove this IP from NJABL system.
