mail error on mail2

I have a client that is timming out he has a mail2 with realy on mail4

I would think this mail4 downtime would not affect them.

anyone else having the same problem?

Mail2 is a relay mail server, it is not a mail server itself.. It’s not used for pop3/smtp

will mail2 be picking up all emails that do not arrive on mail4

in good theory am I correct ?

Its up, but sluggish due to a build up of queue.. should normalise over the next 15 to 20min.. but services are up and email is sending/receiving..

Yes, mail2, if relay service enabled, catches email and pipes it to mail4..

How can we check is the “relay service is enabled” for our domains?
