I have gotten several calls from my clients (I am a reseller) who are very angry because they cannot use webmail reliably. This includes DWMail. What the heck is going on? I am about to lose customers due to jodohost’s poor quality. I have contacted support and they fix the problem, and tell me that it will NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN. But, less than an hour passes before my customers are back on the phone complaining about the poor quality. I am getting VERY ANGRY about this problem and I am tired of hearing that “experts” are keeping an eye on the problems. Does anybody at Jodo care about quality? I am now in the process of looking for another hosting provider and I do not feel shy about spreading the word that jodo is not responsive or concerned about quality. If someone does care, I would very much like to hear from them.X( X( X(
May i know any ticket# or domain name having problem with webmail. It may have not worked all times on mail1 in past couple of days while we were dealing with delay issue. We are surely concerned about quality and went for dedicated webmail service for the same reason.
In particular, the domain that is giving me problems is:
Thanks for the quick reply.
Thanks. I’ll monitor it randomly in horde there for next few hours.
WebMail really shouldn’t be giving anyone issues. sometimes it may appear slow (during peak hours, thats why we are shifting webmail to a stand alone server) but it will work.
I am surprised you have many customers calling about webmail because we really don’t have any webmail complaints apart from it acting slow occasionally on one of our mail servers
I just read your ticket. Everytime you have complained there was an issue, our team has checked it very quickly and found no such issue.
You are getting a server not found error?
Yash, there were some IMAP errors today on all the mail servers, not just mail1.
The IMAP errors are today, and a refresh would make it go away. As you mentioned, thats a potential firewall issue thats being looked into
Thanks for checking.
Yes it is very slow. Sometimes Michael must wait for several minutes before a response. This is happening with both DW and Horde.
This error has come up several times: There was an error connecting to your mail server. Your server reported: Connection failed to mail.greenlightdevelopment.com,143: Connection timed out
Can you give me a time frame when this was happening?
we solved a major issue with mail1 as of today. That was causing slowness and other issues on mail1.
Today we had an isssue with IMAP errors (connection refused because of some limit). That has been fixed and no reoccurences as of the last hour
Horde and Sqwebmail may still act slow during US peak hours. I recommend you use DWMail during those times. We will be deploying Horde and SQwebmail externally tomorrow and hopefully have everyone on our external webmail service within the next week
To make a small correction here, it will be below webmail clients that will be available externally:
Dwmail
Horde
Squirrelmail
windsurfer, i didnt notice a timeout in my random refreshes for this domain. Do you have any new complaint during this time?
So is mail1 still having problems? Did you solve another thing just yesterday?
Please explain your issue or tell me ticket# if any.
Just checked Mail1 has all clean queue at the moment.

The customers I have/had on mail1 experienced problems for the last 3 weeks. I’m asking because of that and Yash mentioning that yesterday you fixed another issue on mail1. Other than that it still shows long time responses on jodopulse compared to the other servers.
Yes SMTP response time was a bit high for some time as i enabled a few additional spam checks that occur at SMTP session. But i dont see any immediate issues.
