THis mail system is a total joke. I don;t know if its Horde or Jodo, but its a joke.
1. You white list or black list you be lucky if it works.
2. You mark your SPAM to go to a SPAM mailbox, hardley works, spam still comes into the mailbox you reqested it not to STILL MAKED AS SPAM.
3. DSPAM me and my clients were not getting many important emails, I had to turn off and now just getting hit with SPAM and SEX SPAM. So what do we do, put up with all this spam casue DSPAM don’t work and can’t get important emails???
4. Outlook be lucky if it works one day and the next, not consitent.
Even with DSPAM off I still don’t get alot of important E-mails, so I have to use my Earthlink Email service. Is this professional???
You tell us to report false postivies, but when we don’t get emails and clients get mad we never know about the emails we don’t get, with the chance of losing a customer or pisssing someone off cause we didn’t reply.
Just a joke and a nightmare, and something needs to be done about it…
WebD, you can completely bypass DSPAM if you want.. That is by changing the MX records. Ask support to do it.

Just bypass it totally and use the old system if you are so unhappy. We are constantly working to improve accuracy, and our current accuracy is within industry standards. Genuine email does get trapped, and you do need to look out for it. Thats the way even the best filters work
We have do so many things to improve our email services. Apart from implementing filtering, you hardly see issues these days with major blacklistings (from spamcop), mail delays or mail floods.
Do you guys not read my post. I disabble DSPAM and so much SPAM its sick.

TO say its ficitional my problems will when I can’t get emails from cleints even with DSPAM off yes Im not happy. What do you mean with this comment to me this is unprofessional comment.
Today I get a lady on my live chat, over 2 weeks ago, she had emails me like 3 times never even got the email and DSPAM as been off for almost a month. How does this make me look??? She thought we were going under. This happens all the time with other emails im suppose to get. SO NO this is not ficitional this is serious. I don’t ever have problems with any other Email clients I use.
I was saying its either the Hsphere system or JODO and not sure but the things I menthend do not work…

If you bypass dspam, you will get spam, there is no question. You can’t have it both ways to be honest. Every mail system has false positives, and false negatives, MailFoundry, gmail, Barracuda, all of them..
there is no perfect system, and their never will be one.
We are being very vigilant is preventing, catching, removing spam(some of the quick maintenance notices on mail servers is to remove spam someone was able to inject, then we work to stop how they injected it). The way email works, it is not perfect either. Even ISPs have major email outages, you mentioned earthlink, just do a search about how many mails earthlink rejects, never gets, etc.
Spam is RUINING email, and without a major force in the entire industry it will not be fixed. there has to be some uniform standard, SPF was supposed to be it, then Yahoo and MSN wanted their own methods different. It is all a political game really, it is going to take a standards board to adopt and try to enforce a policy for any major improvement.
If you want to filter spam they way you want it exctly, you need to configure a local mail client and use a Bayesain filter on your local PC, and sort about 1000 messages to junk/not junk and run a training. Then as spammers adapt you will need to do this each week.
This will be the only thing that can help you if you want the most accurate, but you may understand better how spammers work after seeing exctly how they change their methods on a near daily basis to bypass and corrupt filters with fake data. It is an ongoing cat and mouse game, and sadly the spammers win many times, with all filtering systems.
Guys I am not really complaing about the SPAM read my post. I turned off DSPAM to hope I would get all my emails. I turned DSPAM off to hope I could get things to work and deal with it, will don’t work.

Mabye its the mail server im on dont know, but soemthing has to be done.
I am telling you there is nothing wrong with the mail server, mail3 is NOT the issue, load is low, its been running perfect since the new server. in addition white listing if you aren’t using anti spam, how is it doing anything? White listing is to bypass spam filter, if you aren’t filtering, then there is nothing to whitelist.
I am using anti-spam but not DSAPM this is what im tyring to say. And why arent i getting emails from some people and I have to use my Earthlink account…
WHy weren’t I use the anti-spam settings without DSPAM, dont help much but I use it..
