Mail1 and Unix3 Maintenance - 11AM

hello,

This is probably needed but a quick question here.

the email will probably not be working in these 5 minutes.

Is it possible to do this in the evening ?

thanks.

erik

Mail will receive during that time as we have a mail relay server to grab incoming mail, and it is not possible to do it during the evening unless someone wishes to send me $5000 dollars

so mail will be flawless?

no outlook errors ?

i did not undertsand you.

$5000 ! for what?? haha

how much ram will it have now ?

Outlook may give errors while the server is off, but no mail will be lost, as it will be caught by the backup server.

Money is for my vacation, I would have to delay it longer. I am here at the datacenter now, but simply can’t do the RAM change now.

Unix3 will have 2GB added, mail1 1GB added, getting what that will total to now from Deepak.
Total in mail1 will be 4GB.
Total in unix3 will also be 4GB, thanks to Deepak for the info.

Also one more thing, I believe you are on mail3, not mail1, as you are a newer customer, so you and your customers will not even notice in outlook.

good.

yes you are right i am on mail3.

so these changes will not afect me

good looking out

Stephen is working late tonight and early morning to finish some pending tasks before he leaves for a vacation. He’ll be getting a much deserved break. The regular DC techs will be taking care of stuff for us while he is away.

I have asked Stephen to let Mail1 and Unix3 be performed by the DC techs instead, but he really wants to get that done before he leaves. Shows his commitment to JodoHost  The downtime will barely be noticable, should be much quicker tahn 5 minutes and hence we are going ahead with the ram addition at this time

[/QUOTE]

Evening is the worst time to do it, as we have large traffic during that time. Early morning is preferable, but we carry out important backup operations during the early morning hours.

I always thought Stephen was a slave … are they entitled to vacations? :stuck_out_tongue:

Have a good one
