As you know, we have been experiencing a # of issues on mail1 in the last 2 weeks. Mainly delayed mail and timeouts.
Yesterday we implemented a solution that blocked out a large # of connections that we believe was flooding Mail1 (sort of a spam DOS attack) that we believe was a major portion of the problem.
We monitored mail1 since this morning (US daytime) and the mail queue never exceeded 500 messages which is extremely good and we feel we have resolved this issue.
