EMAIL (mail1) is very slow as shown on your jodopulse.com as experienced on our mail client here and I am also getting errors similar to this one:
Task ‘[email protected] - Receiving’ reported error (0x8004210E) : ‘Your mailbox is temporarily unavailable because another e-mail message is being delivered to it or another mail application is accessing it. The server responded: File busy try again later!’
The great guys here at JODOHOST tell me MAIL1 does not have a problem and no one else is noticing any issue. Since they are right at the server and so highly qualified I would have to believe them. But if anyone is having any trouble and can help to resolve this, any feedback would be great.
There are a few timeouts throughout the day for a couple of minutes(seconds) each time. But they are not really noticable. This is an issue we are still working on as stated on this forum before. We have already tried to hardware upgrades
I am connected to mail1 all the time, both my laptop and PDA. I really never notice a timeout. JodoHost uses mail1 for all its email including tickets and sales
Have you considered your mail client may be at fault for setting off mail server defenses against spammers and attacks?
You told me that you have 20 email accounts set in outlook and since outlook xp microsoft has designed outlook to check all accounts at the same time, not in a offset fashion as with previous versions.
That can be used for reference. The issue here would be that you have so many accounts at once it is hitting the IP block limits on the server to prevent problems. I have not had even one error sending or recieving since 8-23 when the CPUs were again changed out from dual cores(hwich we learned qmail cant multithread on) to faster clocked single cores.
I use outlook for one of my major email accounts getting between 50-100 emails a day and sending 15-20. I use Thunderbird for much more than this, but I do utilize outlook as well.
If it was just me that may be a possiblity, but since clients that use webmail only or other clients that only have one email account are complaining leads me to think it is not.
I also have tested on a particular account sending only one at a time and on a different ISP.
Also my email client/setup hasn’t changed in 2 years but the problems started about 2 weeks ago, this also indicates (to me) that the issue is server side or at least that it is not email client related.
