Can we possiblily do something with mail3 it is just to slow. I have brought this up before. I can sit here for 20-40 seconds waiting on this server to check my mail between pages or even load in H-Shpere can take up to a long amount of time. This awful.. Very frustrating.
I feel like i am on dial up dealing with this server.

Mail3 is running fine for pop3/imap/smtp services. It is doing a full disk sync right now to its hotspare server.
Webmail may be the only slow thing, nothing else is slow at all.
Correct Webmail is always slow, not just at the moment, anytime of day when I use it, it is just awful. I sit here and wait and wait to get where I need to go.
The other mail servers are not this bad.
Webmail is never the optimal way to check email either 
I agree. I just hate using Outlook or Thunderbird, because I hate downloading all that spam etc. to my PC. I got hit once doing that and it crashed a system.
I think you were just unlucky there, mail in any volume should never crash a pc
I get in excess of 1500 messages a day in my thunderbird among jodohost, personal, and gmail addresses and the gmail is 99% spam
I don’t remember the situation in full detail, but it was a few years ago. I know I was using outlook and when I POP3 my mail, I got hit with a virus.
Mail 3 is the slowless server for some reason, the others seem faster.
I use webmail everyday and do not experience the slowness you are referring to. Of course it isn’t lightning fast, but it is webmail. I don’t have any problems with the speed.
Why is Mail3 so slow in Horde, It is so frustarting slow??? Mail5 and other servers are much faster..
We plan to move Horde off Mail3 to solve this issue.

all the problems we are facing are due to the explosion in the amount of spam we are getting.
Mail3 is just being hit with so much of spam that there is not much processing power available to do webmail during peak times.
SpamAssasin on mail3 alone is catching 180,000 spam emails a day, which is a huge increase from 2 months ago

Horde move is not done yet as the clean migration of preferences, address book, calender, etc isnt quickly possible, because we are merging data at the end from multiple sources.
