Is mail4 alive? Can’t seem to connect via http://mail4.corl.ca
Keep getting timeout. Other mail servers respond fine.

Anyone? Doesn’t seem to be any Jodohost people on the forums this morning, no one on Live chat. ?(
Your ticket was responded to and issue corrected. Seems there was an issue with webmail for your domain.
Mail4 was certainly alive, it was only down for a couple of minutes
Yash - Sorry but no. My ticket wasn’t responded too, I had to get someone on Liva Chat after over a 30 min wait. And it was certainly not down for only a few minutes, I was at least an hour if not more.
From what I was told the webmail was down and not just for our account.
Please don’t mistate what happened. I understand the issue and appreciate the fix but I don not appreicate you trying to cover up the matter. X(
Mail4 was down for 4 minutes by all accounts. We have 2 systems monitoring our servers and it wasn’t down for more than 4 minutes.
Also, your ticket titled “mail4 down?” complaining about Webamil was answered in 20 minutes according to our Ticket system logs. Right now yes, Live chat is pretty busy.
Edit: The Webmail issue certainly did affect a number of domains, just had a discussion with one of the techs. The issue was corrected as soon as we got in the first few complaints. The webmail issue didn’t affected POP3/SMTP services.
Ok thanks. I do take exception to you saying I was “complaining”. Webmail did not work, plain and simple. Don’t label customers as “complaining” when they point out problems on your network please, as it is your issue not mine.
Of course it was an issue at our end.
I am not labeling customers as “complaining”. You have every right to complain if something isn’t working.
I am just saying that your ticket was answered in 20 minutes and acknowledged there was an issue with webmail..
Yash, thanks again, I don’t want to beat a dead horse on this but the ticket never acknowledged anything, the full ticket repy was “Please try to access mail4.corl.ca now.” It was only when I explicitly asked on Live Chat was I told there was an issue with the webmail service. Again I appreciate the help but I find that Jodohost claims more than actually happened, and only when you ask do you sometimes get the try issue. This is not the first time I have had this happen. Lets just try to be open and honest and not restate things to make thigns look better than reality.
Webmail is now working and I consider the issue closed.
If you mean to say we were trying to hide the fact that webmail was down, that was certainly not the case.
The purpose of technical support is to resolve issues, as quickly as possible. If you want clarification on a certain issue, you can certainly get it if you ask it on the ticket, on live chat or on the forum.
Once again, I apologise for the webmail issue. This has been a near-perfect migration by all measures.
Well, let me give my thumbs up to the mail4 migration. At least in my eyes, it did go very smooth, I didn’t notice any outage.
Let me also say that I’m not really a webmail user though.
Schooner, if you think JodoHost is trying to hide something, I think you are mistaken… if you think JodoHost is not being open, you got to try a different hosting company.
Jodohost is by far the most open, honest and transparent company I’ve hosted with

I have no issue with Jodohost I just find sometimes they restate thigns that are not 100% clear, perhaps it is a language issue. For example Yash said first it was just an issue with our domain but later stated it wasn’t. He also said that they told me in the ticket reply that it was a web mail issue and they never did say that in the ticket. Not hiding anything, just seems to be different versions of the story is all. I jsut don’t like when words are twisted to make the issue lokk different then what happened. No real issue with Jodohost and basically a happy customer, just frustrating today with webmail down and the old mail showing up on top of that and the slow response from Live Chat.
Hey, at least it was extra real mail instead of missed new mail ![]()

Well yes, missed mail would be worse but it was still a PITA dealing with 500+ emails again.
Yes, I understand, was just trying to lighten to mood a bit this morning. Glad to see it is all up now.
