I’d like to make a sincere request that this kind of work, where your entire network goes down, be conducted on the weekend, not during the week.

As an international business, many of your clients are in very different time zones. In this case, the scheduled time for that maintenance will be midday here, on a weekday.

I understand this comes with the territory - I chose to host in the US from AUS - however when it comes to the entire network going down for a couple of hours, the impact on your international clients can be greatly minimised by performing such work on a weekend. Your consideration of this would be greatly appreciated. :slight_smile:

This is not our option. Datacenter told us it was being done.

Email notice will be going out, but I had an error while sending.

Also, there will not be network outages for hours, just a minor routing change to add more failover capacity.

The time is a window, not a total outage.

Thursdays at the same time is absolutely ideal for our customers in Europe and the Middle East.

The time is great for Europe, the day is great for the Middle East where the weekends are generally Thu/Fri.

Can I request that all maintenance work is performed at this time?

Did anyone even notice an outage? It was done pretty flawless.
