Let?s say we?re administrating our own DNS servers…
1- If we have very high TTL values, …apart from the disadvantages,…it would lower the traffic generated, correct?
2- In the case above, what’s the maximum TTL values we can set for a certain domain?
I read somewhere that we could push it to 3 days? In other place I saw 3 to 7 days depending on the type of files they are using…(3 days for text-type objects, 7 days for binary).
Anybody knowledgeable on that…so as to give us some light?
