One of my clients have contacted me, asking if it’s possible to run MOH:AA (Medal Of Honor : Allied Assault) on an account. If you haven’t heard of it, it’s a game made by Electronic Arts ( http://www.eagames.com/redesign/games/pccd/mohaa/home.jsp ).

He wouldn’t be running a busy game, but I’m just wondering if this is allowed, and if so, how would I go about setting it up etc?

It doesn’t look like there is a Linux version of the dedicated server software, so that rules out it being run on a VPS account.
I doubt he was expecting to pay for a Windows dedicated server, so that would be a no.

I used to run a Neverwinter Nights dedicated server on a VPS account for a while. It worked pretty decent, but a FPS server is probably more demanding.

The answer is no, we can’t run gameservers on shared accounts. :slight_smile:

I know there’s a version of MOH for Linux (or at least a way to convert a Windows install to run on Linux), so would I be able to run this through VPS?
