I’ve had many hacking experiences on older Windows servers this week, still ongoing, and have finally taken the steps toward moving accounts to a newer OS. Support has basically told me that they can’t do much about fixing the older ones, so I guess you guys are abandoning them to their fate. I’m not happy about that, but I understand the problem.
So, it’s not too hard with simple accounts with single domains, but I have one or two with multiple sub-domains, multiple databases, lots of custom legacy code (with absolute server paths for ASP etc.), email addresses etc. What can Support do to help with migrations, and what do I need to plan to do myself?I assume they can help with moving a Gb or two of files, but what else? If an ‘account’ could be moved with everything involved that would be awesome, but I gather that’s not possible.
If I have to move in stages, what can I do to ensure subdomains don’t get lost in DNS?
There’s a ticket RS #JLN-52357-201 about this, but this is probably a better place to ask this question, as I’m sure I’m not the only one and other peeps what to hear any advice given.
