MS Index Server and PDF Ifilter

We’re developing a website for a scientific journal using aspx/mssql and consider having jodohost to host it (currently on a trial account).

The journal abstracts, titles etc. will be stored in SQL tables and searched there, but the main articles are pdf-files and should of course also be searchable.

I couldn’t find any refererences to the Index Server in the features list, but does anyone know if it’s included in the Windows hosting plans, and specifically if the PDF Ifilter dll is installed?

Hi Niels, you can use PDF IFilter 5.0. It’s in PDF IFilter 5.0 and it’s free.

Is this loaded on the Jodohost servers? We use this on our internal servers but you need the admin to load it on the server.
