Now the server tells me that the reason is:

Now I know why this happens: It’s because of a new security patch (I think), but how do I fix it?

I fixed (I think I did it.)by switching back to the host name instead of the ip.

Yes, please change back to the host name immediately. We resolved the issue of the redirect scripts and for some reason MSSQL is now rejecting connections from the IP. We are looking into why but it seems like a security feature.
