I did not abuse SQL server!!! therefore you must return the old system to my domain period. If you can’t, I will file a compaint in US court against you for hurting my business.

Now I am using MS SQL Server Managment Studio Express and it successfully connected my SQL Server but I am not able to find my databases there. Any idea where can I find my database-jadeyem_riadeaf and tables I created under SQL Manager for SQL Servier ?

Yes I can see the tables now. Now do you believe me that I have not seen it or have still problem with SQL manager created by EMS Database Management. I suffered not able to access the SQL Server.

Do I deserve some credit for my sufferance, Right? Thanks for fixing the problems.

I have a question. Why can’t your system work with EMS Database SQL Manager?

There is no issue with EMS Lite itself, we have tested with both.The only thing need to make sure is you are using special port address.

what is the special port address then? I did use post and it failed to recognize my password for jadeyem_riadeaf but MS SQL Server Management processed it fine. Please help me because I am using EMS Lite heavily.

Hi,
I work with EMS at Jodo infra also. (I use EMC 3.6.0.1 free lite version)
Maybe this can help you.

Steps to follow to connect to database:

  1. find out the good db server connection string. If you are on cluster1 (my h sphere.biz) at mssql3 the correct string is: mssqlmgr.go hsphere.com,5203
  2. start EMS and click register database.
  3. fill in database server name: mssqlmgr.go hsphere.com,5203 (without space)
  4. Choose the standard MSSQL authentication and provide user & pass
  5. Provide the exact database name. Using the drop down menu can take a while if you are on long distance from Texas, USA. Be patient, after clicking drop down button, I have seen 200sec waiting time… Using drop down does not work on all DB servers, depending on security level on the server. In that case type the exact DB name
  6. Click finish and you are all set! You can start connecting to the db and browse the tables. Also here be aware that remote long distance connections are not very efficient for SQL server, so be patient after clicking…
