It was resolved and I saw performance inprovements but I am still seeing some very slow times. Just now, 5:17pm EST it got really slow.
As I said in my post on the other thread, I have a site on the same win10 web server that is ASP.NET and it works fine when my other site on win10 gets really slow. The only difference is the slow app is using SQL5.
I have found one user with over 40 connections now, I am resolving that as I type.
I have this fully resolved now, the same user that was the problem last time was the problem again, despite claims it was resolved, CPU usage went from 55% down to just 4% after disabling this one database.

6:35pm EST and it’s happening again
The CPU has been very stable below 50% since I disabled the database:

Thanks. It looks like it was win10 hitting high CPU utilization around the time I was having problems. Seems OK now, at least thats what the monitoring says.
Win10 had a brief CPU spike which was resolved. We are monitoring it closely. Things have been fine since.

Thanks Yash. Looking at the logs it looks like both win10 and sql5 were getting hit pretty hard up until about the time of this message thread.
I’m glad you got this fixed. It was very annoying to have my sites be so slow. Sometimes they were so slow that they would never come back - they simply didn’t work.
SQL5 has been getting hammered pretty hard the last 24 hours. Look at the attached graphs I just took (11:00am EST Sunday). My sites are still performing pretty well which is very surprising. :]
I looked at the other SQL servers and only SQL5 is getting anywhere close to this kind of usage. Is this the same account continuing to abusw the server? :frusty:

We are taking down MSSQL for 2 minutes to disable another database of this customer
I believe I have got it. Database disabled and this is the last time we are going to entertain any reactivation pleas from him.
