We are having a lot of issues on mssql12 (last year was over mssql11). Always it is the same: some abuse or some attack from remote conections.
Isn’t there any way to improve it? It is detected always after I open tickets when my websites are very slow or with timeout.

This kind of issue is for months and we suffer day a day, week a week, the same. It is fixed but 5 days after it is here again.

I can not understand how your monitor doesn’t detect anything and my website doesn’t response in 10 seconds to any Select sql sentence
I am replying you here on behalf of Stephen. He checked server and blocked some IP’s on server. Alert is set for 30 sec timeout because of that it is not alerting on 10 sec time out.
There are a lot of times that there are not timeouts, only that pages that normally loads in 1-2 seconds may take up to 8-10 seconds to load. This happens very often. In these case you will not see any error however the server is not responding fine
We don’t detect a slow load of 8-10 seconds, only alerts if over 30. However I have checked the server and blocked a bit but did not see any internal abuses or even at that time great external abuses, but there were a few outside servers connecting which is prohibited.

I don’t know how the system admin can detect it but I say you that this is happening very often , and the same page that load in 1-2 seconds five minutes later load in 10 seconds . When it is happening I try in differents webs that are using mssql12, and I get the same bad response time.
And just when support team block some IP or some database everything works again , loading pages in 1 second

one more time I have received timeout from mssql12 and your alerts didn’t detected it. This issue was for a half hour but I’m begining to think that your alerts don’t exist because until I have sent to you several tickets NOBODY detected this kind of issue, that is happening every day or every two days in the last months.
The performance of mssql IS VERY BAD. It is running fine some hours but other times the response time is 4-10 times higher that normal response time.
I don’t know if it is due to some abuse or why (you always say that server is never overloaded) , but I get timeouts or very bad response time in very simple queries.
I’m waiting for you resolve it as soon as posible because (as you can see in the statistics I sent last month) the service tha you (and me ) are offering in windows hosting with mssql is not very profesional: very bad response time and a lot of issues.
