MSSQL2(cl2) reboot - 10:30PM EDT

We will be rebooting MSSQL2 on cluster2 at approx 10:30PM tonight, we are installing updates, and need to restart SQL server(will be done with reboot) to cleanup the tempdb, as it has grown a lot in the last days.

this will be rebooting in 10-13 minutes now.

looks like it is going to be at least another 10 minutes, one update hung a bit on install and slowed it down a lot.

I looked at it wrong there, that was hung on download…it is installing NOW.

I will note, SQL server is still up, so no impact to services for scheduled maintenance period yet.

An asp.net patch(that isn’t even really needed on SQL server) is making this take quite a long time. Made good progress, SQL services still online, but still a bit away from the reboot.

ok updates done, reboot happening in about 3 minutes, stopping SQL services now.

Server is up, SQL starting now, DBs will work as they get loaded into memory.
