Multiple domains, single site - okay for primary domain to expire?

I have a client with something like eight domain names pointing to a single web site…When I created his hosting account, I did so using domain1.com. Later, he registered domain2.com, domain3.com, etc. I set them up as aliases in Hsphere so all pointed to one site. He now wants to let domain1.com expire but continue using domain2.com, etc. Would that cause a problem? I was thinking I wouldn’t actually change anything in his CP, just not renew the domain at the registrar.

it could create problems in email as far as I know, but I am not sure.

Is it really worth the $7-10 for such a possible headache? :slight_smile:

Definitely not, even if that means I have to eat the $7 to keep things working. Thanks for confirming my suspicions that dropping the domain was a bad idea.
