I have multiple e-mail accounts I’d like to connect to using IMAP; however, when attempting to connect to more than one I receive errors in my IMAP client and need to disconnect one of them. Is there a way around this? It appears to be because I am trying to have multiple connections to the same e-mail server, on the same port, using a different login; however, I’m not sure. Any suggestions?

This is a problem with Outlook and Outlook Express - I switched to Thunderbird and never looked back, no worries with 4 IMAP and two POP accounts.
Thunderbird also exhibits the same problem when connecting to the same IMAP server. It is not the number of IMAP accounts that appears to be the issue; it is connecting to the IMAP server with more than one login simultaneously that appears to be the issue.
I would like to be able to use IMAP rather than POP3 with leaving the messages on the server.
