Multiple notices from subscribed forums

That would be appreciated Stephen.
I’ve discovered that the RSS feed is not particularly useful. It gives advise on every new post, including forums I’m not interested in. To make matters worse, most of the notices are for Spam postings.
I was better off subscribing to specific forums even though I was getting duplicate notices

I see I am still getting duplicates of notices from the forums. Got Reply to thread ‘Space inserted in emails at char. 990’ twice. Did you get an opportunity to do the upgrade Stephen?

not yet, but am working on it, the upgrade itself doesn’t take that long but a few issue to iron out with it, and then trying to get the vbmod site to let me download some plugins…not been easy there, it tries to do a match and my email address was changed making it not want to allow me access.

Forums have been updated to the latest version. I will be working to get an addon for spam control limits as that isn’t built in.

Have re-subscribed to selected forums. Will advise results.

Testing results

Thanks for all your efforts, but the duplicates still persist:

I guess I’ll just have to accept that vBulletin is “broken” and live with it. Once again, thanks Stephen for the support you provide to us.

I will look tomorrow and see if I can find anything else that may be causing this, I don’t like to let things like this defeat me

I’m not sure if this is of any help, but I notice that there are 2 date headers in these duplicate messages and sometimes they differ by a second. a list of recent messages amd qmail ID:

The time being +1200 puzzled me for a while, until I remembered that my vBulletin profile is configured for NZST. I think this is conclusive evidence that it is vBulletin that is generating the duplicate messages.

Do other users who are not experiencing this problem have 2 date headers? Here’s an example:
