My L/P for mySQL works on my db manager programs, such as mySQLcc and SQLyog, however, myPHPAdmin will not accept the login and password … is it disabled?
Make sure you have the correct server in the phpmyadmin drop down.
Hmm, with my proggies, I use the domain and not the ip, phpmyadmin uses the ip, but it is correct.
Having same problem. Created new admin user. Tried with both servers (btw, how do you know which one it’s on?)..Won’t log me in…this is a phpBB db…z
Zardiw, Please select the new server(at the bottom of the list) from the list. I have added it to phpMyAdmin as it wasnt added by itself.
Ok..Thanks…BTW, I had some server aliases that weren’t updated yet, so I think THAT was the problem why it didn’t list that server…How do you know which server the db is on?
where the databases are seen from the control panel it tells you what host name you are on
hostname : MySQL2.hotname.com
that tells anyone you are on the MySQL2, if you had different server alias (mySQL2) you could look at the other side where it says the hosts name
