Mysql 5

How do I access mysql 5, I’m installing Moodle 8 and its telling me

version 4.1.16 is required and you are running 4.0.27

But I thought we were up to 5?

Any ideas?

I can do it with postgres DB as its version 7+ but…

It is required that you store all your data in Unicode format (UTF-8). New installations must be performed into databases that have their default character set as Unicode.

Any ideas how this can be set… ?:frusty:

mysql5 is on the newest mysql server

Thank you, created a new account and installed as db plan.

When will JH be ungrading the other db servers?

Yes we are suppose to do this but no immediate plans. We will try to get this done by Dec end or Jan if not early.
