mysql DB delete

OK, so I admit it, I’m strictly an MSSQL kinda guy, so I’m pretty lost with PHP Myadmin…

I’ve looked throughout, but cannot find a way to delete the “test” db which is created by default. Any help for a mysql-challenged individual is appreciated.:open_mouth:

That test db is there by default when mysql is installed. You can’t delete it.

I find it hard to believe that you can’t delete a db…perhaps this merely illustrates the inherent superiority of MSSQL

no, the northwind DB is there all the time in MSSQL  same deal.

Its a built in db from the install not from anything you did creating your db. Any db with test in the name everyone can see it given permissions weren’t changed on the default install.

OK, Stephen you got me on the Northwind DB. I was just hoping that an inflamatory remark would spice things up a bit  and maybe bring out the “defenders of MYSQL” who would have an alternative.

I’ll just have to inform my jumpy client that they’ll have to live with the DB being there…
