Any ideas why I can’t connect to a newly created MySQL DB on MySQL6 with MySQL-Front v2.5?

Try to connect using telnet to port 3306, it may be that your ISP is blocking that port. (but not sure)
Sorry, my fault. User error by clicking “finish” instead of “add” first when setting up the DB and user
