Wondering what is going on with mysql database servers? I have several very simple Wordpress sites located on either mysql9 or mysql10 and they are continuously going down with either 500 server errors or cannot connect to database…I have been putting in tickets..but it seems like it is more of some type of systemic problem since I am seeing it happen very often on multiple sites and multiple servers. Stephen or others..any ideas as to what is happening here? Any ways to stop this?
Again these are very simple databases involved.

We are seeing attacks targetting mysql connections to website using mysql, they are seemingly using some non updated software to force loads of max connections and make SQL slow, this started about Monday or so and we’ve had to fight it quite a bit, still trying to find exactly how to stop it from happening in an autmated way, as it is coming from our own servers (via the web server) it is hard to trace down, but being done.
