We will be taking this up with coresite but not a good situation. We’ve never had/seen anything like this in our 4 years here. 
he said it seems like an oily water…not good either, but maybe not AS bad as water alone.
Doesnt look good, Any news on data recovery? We’ve got a web calander on there that hasnt been backed up in a while

we have remote backups, and the local drive mounted on a new server, copying data across now!
I don’t quite have an ETA that isn’t really my realm it will depend on the copy speed as much as anything.
The local drive mount option is going now, and seems to be working so far, so it is the preferred option to pulling backups as it is far faster, but we have backups from tonight on remote as well.

Already being done, it is very weird no pipes or vents above, just the 2nd floor beam above(way way above) this is all a mystery.
We also put some plastic bins across the top of the racks (this is 9ft up in the air mind you), so that IF something fell it isn’t going to easily work it’s way into server vent holes.
Maybe it’s blown a head gasket?
