Seems pretty bad this morning. Is it just me?
It is not down, but running on high load.We are checking the cause.
It is responding normal now.However, it is still being monitored.
acting the same again now. very slow, intermittent, timeouts, etc.
And again - it seems to be VERY common for MySQL8 to be slow to the point of non-responsive.
I just timed to three attempts to open a 37KB table through PHPMyAdmin:
7 sec
6 sec
11 sec
Site performance is pretty bad for CMS sites (Joomla and WP) that rely on MySQL8. I’ve deflected numerous questions and complaints this week, so it’s not just a domain, account, or unique instance.
Any updates on a more permanent cure or solution?
We have found a database which was abusing on the server with huge size of database in GB and was continuously making number of connections without closing them. As this was the root cause of high load on the server as well. We have suspend the abusive database.
MySQL server seems to be much better now as before and have no such load issues. Please check the sites now on which you were facing issues and update us on ticket if still having any issues.
Yes… at the moment it is extremely fast (in comparison to usual). So now you know we have not been making it up, there was a problem. I hope time will tell that the problem does not creep back in (maybe by another user) in the next few days or hours.
For now, I am very happy! But wary that it is a long-term improvement.
