1-minute+ page-loads for wordpress or zencart sites using this db server. In the middle of the night and other times.
Please fix it. I swear I will be your best friend. Please? No seriously. Please.
just open up a ticket with domain and URL and we shall happily look into your issue.
It’s chronic. I know if I submit a ticket, the end result will be that I am asked to move my databases to another server. I have seen the advice given to others… and I was hoping that enough would leave to balance things out for everyone. The reasons I don’t like that answer: Why will the next one be better? How long will it be before that one is also overstuffed and behaving the same way? Also, I am too stupid and busy and lazy to make the moves. I pay jodo to provide reasonably working services because I don’t have the time, money, or expertise to run my own server farm, or to do their load-balancing for them at the expense of many hours of my work.
Sorry, I am just very frustrated. I don’t need to deal with these sites very often, but it seems that every time I try to do some maintenance late at night especially, I am pulling my hair out waiting for that server at every turn. My hosting customers are also not getting good service, and it makes me look bad.
Here we are 1am Eastern, Friday night. This server is at a crawl. I have tried three sites that use this db server (two wordpress, one zencart), and can’t get any of them to load. They just churn and churn and eventually time out.
There were lot of mysql process in sleeping state which i have just cleared and now the performance should be fine.
