Is there anything special we need to do to run .net 2.0 on a windows hosting platform?

Yes, create a ticket with the name of the domains that you want to have .net 2.0 enabled.

When .net 2.0 is enabled on that domain does that mean .net 1.x won’t work anymore for that domain?

Only apps that work with the 2.0 compatibility mode(1.1 “compatible”) will function, some like one I ran into today, do not function in 2.0.

That is why we are not forcing everyone to use one or the other.
