Network Fibre Issue

Hi, I know you guys are busy.
We as resellers have no way of corrosponding with our customers regarding this issue or the reason.
Anyone have any suggestions on how they correspond with thier customers when such an issue arises as this. for eg. do you have a seperate site for outages on an external host with a list of contact address’s or something similar?
I’ll be looking to setup some system so any advice is appreciated.

we hav ethe jodopulse but its no so much of a use to you.

we are working with fiber company on this now.

yeah, it would be great…in this instance anyway…if jodohost could send a generic email to all customers(reseller’s customers included). The question would be from what email address though

we have means in a very extended outage from an offsite server, but at the moment it is flapping about 50% of the time. not a 100% outage but certainly not good!

I haven’t had a moment to do more than to update this forum to be honest, I am making phone calls and staying in contact with the network engineers at the fiber provider at fault.

There is an issue affecting their internal network as well and they are having trouble to pull up tickets(I guess we are sharing a swithc it happened at the exact time)

Still no connectivity to any domain…

One question pops up: is all jodohost internet-connectivity limited to one single cable/switch ?

Succes with problem-solving Stephen!
Best regards, Jan-Pieter

Hello,

We actually have dual connections but they link to a central switch station :frowning: I explained it in detail and how it was affected.

We will be seeking other remedies for this in the future as our network grows. This was a very unfortunate situation, it seems that either the contractors doing water/sewer hit the underground line, or something took out the aerial line. (We are linked to both and one going down should not technically task us out, except this management interface failure on the switch)
