New day new webpage is updated

Hi

I want to create a link such as “Fact of the day” I wld like to create some files like 20060401.txt 20060402.txt etc (like based on day 1st april , 2nd april & so on) 365 files for each day of the year and a webpage is updated every day and the data shd be picked from the corresponding day’s file.

Do I make sense?

Is there such facility available in some of the cms like mambo or joomla etc?

any ideas?

I have seen a module like this on e107, it uses MySQL to power it instead of text files and is very efficient :slight_smile:

Thx for the reply but some more inputs please. I am not very smart with coding etc. I can download and install this e107 but is there a working example or code snippet or is there a setting / ready to use feature in e107 that can help me get this done?
