New set up for the forum board

Hi people,

I liked the new set up, with the Content advertising. I was wondering… if I got a vBulletin…if you guys would help me set up? :smiley:

Also, does anyone would know how do the same…with phpBB?
set it up with a space on the top for ads?

Any comments on using phpBB in comparison to vBulletin?

For phpBB, I’m pretty sure you only have to modify the overall_header.tpl file and add the code for the banner.

do you know if phpBB instalation is still different…when configuring via cp…and via thierown package.

My expierence dates back to some 2 or 3 years ago, and I remember psoft didnt have it all sussed…and the via hsphere installation of phpBB very often gave out errors.

Does it all run smooth now? Do you know? Or is it better tpo download and run it?

My opinion is never use any automated installer, ever. :smiley:

i think jodo recommend you to install from downloading direct from phpBB

as it’ll be an older version and will be open to hacker attacks

though i think vBulletin would be more secure

I install it manually because H-Sphere doesn’t have the last version.
